Guggenheim New York

It's been a long time since I was in the Guggenheim. I think it might have been college days. It looks so small now. How trite. The exterior is swathed in scaffolding now for renovations. The interior that you can visit is limited but you can still get a few shots showing Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece. I have more, but I'm still having a lot of trouble uploading to Blogger.

Brooklyn Bridge from the East River

Took an evening cruise. This photo isn't that great but considering it's a time exposure on a moving boat it's pretty darn good!

At the Met....

We spent Sunday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Above is Rodin's Balzac... below is Balzac's back.

They don't allow photos in most of the exhibits but these sculpture areas are ok.

Blogger problems

Still having trouble uploading photos to Blogger.

At the Met

Blogger isn't letting me upload images now. [sigh] I tried last night and this morning. Come back later and I'll have more photos of New York.

New York City

Just rolled into New York this evening. Near the hotel (in the Garment District) is Bryant Park and this huge Halloween costume store! I'll try to get some good photos this week.

More Fall Color

The color is really starting to come now. It rained all day today, but the sun is coming out tomorrow so I should be able to get some good photos.

Autumn comes to Smith Road

I keep saying that we're not having a lot of fall color this year, but I keep finding little patches here and there.

Crestwood Road

I was out scouting locations today. There are pockets of fall color here and there.
UPDATE: More fall color shots at my main page.

Proctorville

Last weekend I crossed the Proctorville Bridge. The sky was so blue and that bridge is so cool looking, I just had to stop and get a few photos.

Willow Wood, Ohio

I drove over into Ohio early this morning to photograph a house. I thought I'd get some nice fall foliage shots, but frankly, this isn't shaping up as a good year for color... yet.

Phil Pfister - World's Strongest Man

I ran into Phil Pfister at Chesapeake Bagel Bakery on Monday. It was good to see him in person after seeing him on Letterman last week. Phil recently won the title of "World's Strongest Man". This is a photo I took of him a while back for Charleston Magazine. He's leaning on one of those giant concrete balls they lift in competition. Of course I tried to lift it... it didn't budge.
