Older sister of this one.

Facial recognition software

So there's a site where you can compare your face to celebrity faces and see who most closely matches you. Here are my top two matches. I'm going with Mel and forget the other guy (Karlheinz Stockhausen).

Escalation

Remember the escalator? Here's more.

Car, at night, in the rain...

... in the Wal-Mart parking lot, lit by mercury vapor.

Produce Blogging #34

Because Thursday night is grocery night!

Charleston Area Bloggers

Somehow it was decided that we should have a little get-together of Charleston-area bloggers at Taylor Books at 8am on Wednesday, January 4th. If you've got a blog, be there or be square. Lots of coffee and scones will be consumed. Bring your laptop... free wi-fi is available. I plan on posting photos directly from the event. Should be fun if we don't get into a big fight over politics or religion or whatever. I will try to be early and snag a couple of tables at 7:30.

Aged Gauge

I went by the Civic Center today where they have an old fire engine on display. I thought this gauge was cool looking.

Barber Shop or Museum? Part7

More useless collectibles from the Shear Cut on Fife Street. For more of this, see here, here, here, here and here.

Razr Sharp

Around our house, we all got Motorola Razrs for Christmas. I finally figured out how to put my own photos in the thing (along with MP3s for ringtones) to use as wallpapers... by using Bluetooth. I thought I was going to need an accessory cable to hook the computer up to the phone, but the Bluetooth connection does the same thing. See goldfish here.

Truckin'....

... like the doo-dah man. Obviously, as you can see by the foliage this photo wasn't taken recently. I'm just raiding my hard drive for interesting photos to post since I'm parked on the couch here with this.

Pier1 Shopping Shapes

I didn't shoot a danged thing today. Here's another few shots from last week's trip to Pier1.

Post Christmas Post

I haven't been shooting much because of the holiday activities... but here's one little thing I shot while opening presents. I'll try to shoot more soon.

It's Christmas...

... and I've got a present for you. I've got ten 8x10 prints of various fruits and vegetables. The first 10 people to email me a snail-mail address will get a print! (Please don't ask if you've received something from me before.) Merry Christmas! and thanks for coming by. UPDATE: Traffic's really slow today, still a couple left as of 6:30pm... send those addresses quick.
UPDATE: Thanks for all the support. The prints are all taken.

Cool Pets

So, I'm in the checkout line at Wal-Mart... and you can imagine how long the line was. I'm scanning the magazine rack for some temporary entertainment. I notice the "Disney Adventures" magazine up there... "I wonder if they ever printed my shots of the kids and their cool pets". I pull down the issue and take a look... whaddy know! I love it when that happens.

Lauren of New Haven

In Charleston, if you want to see your friends who've moved away... go to Taylor Books around the holidays.

Because Thursday night is grocery night! And boy howdy were the stores crowded... with people actually wanting to buy produce. Sheesh.

More shopping in Pier1. More here.

Blogging from Taylor Books

I'm having a meat-space meetup at Taylor Books with fellow blogger Stacey Abshire of the 4Haks blog. Coffee and scones are being consumed in mass quantities.

Four Santas...

...that I have seen in the last few weeks. That last one looks like George W. Bush to me.

One more from the Bombay store...
